Photos of GeForce GTX 280 graphics card

The photos of GeForce GTX 280 graphics card got exposed

We learn from itocp forum that they got the photos of GeForce GTX 280 graphics card. As you can see from the photos, the PCB of GeForce GTX 280 graphics cards is tremendous long, it comes with 1 6pin and 1 8pin power connectors.

We also heard that GeForce GTX 280 graphics card would be the last single chip design from NVIDIA. After GeForce GTX 280, NVIDIA will only bring graphics cards with double and multiple cores design.

Heh, nvidia first thumbs its nose at ati for making the r700 a dual gpu card because gt 200 is a single gpu card, and now they've decided to stop making single gpu high ends
pictures are kinda small though, can anyone with and 8800gtx/ultra confirm that this isn't simply a g80 gpu?

The resolution is just way too low imo which could mean it's photoshopped and a higher res would bring out all the flaws in the image.

Geez, that spreader is huge. Looks larger than G80's.

So, you're telling me whoever has these pics isn't able to upload them properly? Without a closer look there is no way to tell if those are photochopped or not...

I call fake, heatspreader has too sharp corners and a solid grey color compared to the background.

hmm this pics may be legit, this card has 16 memmory chips. No other NV cards has 16 chips. G80 gtx/ultras has 12 and G92 GTX has 8.

So this card either has a 256bit or 512bit bus. It depends which modules they use: 32bit->512 16bit->256

edit: funny... it seems that this pcb is capable of housing 32 memory chips -> 2gb

first off, i wont question the authenticity either way until a higher resolution photo is found, but i do want to question some things. where is the LED power indicator found on the 9800GTX...

ok so thats all i can find right now, but its still a good counter for the time being!

    2×8 memory chips,
    GPU further back
    6 + 8-pin power

I think it's probably real. Or a real good photochop mockup of what it's likely
going to look like. But given the release date is less than a month away, the
chances are this is the real thing.

to be able to upload them in a proper resolution is different to not want to upload them in a proper resolution.

it seems to me that the original pic is larger, but the one who did that screenshot resized the preview window (which resizes the original image to fit the preview window) to conceal details on the die or smth. maybe because of being under nda, who knows.

i'd also say it's legit. if the rumored specs are true this one will be some heavy beast

Thermal Pads still on the ram. Take off the heatsink to any gpu stock and you'll find that same white stuff on your ram or heatsink.
