"Core Temp" - A program for accurate K8 temperature monitoring

How come for example S&M gives way more accurate temperature readings for me? What I hate the most with CoreTemp is that the temperatures can vary +/-1 in one second. Once it is 60/60, then it is 57/62, then it is 63/59 and so on. How am I supposed to know the temperature? The Coolest, can you honestly call that accurate? What about reading the temp for example 3 times a second, then take average of them and sum it up by the last seconds average and divide by 2? As far as I know, S&M uses similar method, which is far superior to what CoreTemp can offfer.

The temperature inside the core can and does change very rapidly, so yes, it is possible that one second its a bit lower and the next a bit higher.
It is also possible that it's just the sensors margin of error.

Just thought I would post that Core Temp is not diplaying the processor name of my Opteron 1210HE. It just says unknown Model F3 stepping or something like that.
