there yo go bringing intel into a amd thread again lol, if that was someone droping a dig at amd you would be crying like a girl.qft!
Sorry that I havent posted a review yet(been busy) but I still say that this is by far the most comfortable , clear, and sexy headset around. I wear this thing 6 hrs a day sometimes and no headaches....
It beats the $hit out of my previous 5.1 HPA headset .... that thing was pure garbage compared to this.
If you have the cash I recommend it 110%

So would you guys suggest the Dt770 pro/80 ohm Headsets??
I was using the barracuda Headsets that were 5.1 but they broke after 7 months.
I am hearing alot of people say not to buy 5.1 type headsets, I just really want a nice pair of headsets for gaming, where i can tell what direction noises are coming from.
I don't play FPS type games just MMO's but i do like to know where sounds are coming from and which direction, I played on WOW on pvp servers and plan on doing so with AOC as well, So it would be nice to know, if someone is casting a spell at me, which direction it came from.
I only play games, nothing else, no movies or music on my PC just gaming and mainly just a MMO, I use the X-Fi xtreme gamer card with my setup.
I can get these HEadsets on E-bay for 149.99 and 5 bucks to ship, so if you all think i should get them, please tell me the exact model you would say i need.
All help would be appreciated, i was interested in the dt770s because they are closed cans and that is what i am looking for, I don't have a amp and really don't want to spend a ton more cash to get a amp, And i heard the headsets don't need it.
We'll be awaiting your impressions after pitching the toys. Gaming must be closed, anyone who tells you otherwise does not compete. The Beyer's are like wall hacks for your ears as said before on many a forum by many a head-fier.
Headsets are nice and would be nice to have everything in one package as opposed to mods, etc. Some Beyer 80ohm and a USB mic might be quite a bit less than this and still worthwhile.
As per your requestThis is your Link: http://www.sudhian.com/index.php?/fo...wthread/93626/
very torn between the mmx 330 or some dt 770, for half the priceIts an expensive microphone but I much prefer the newer look... or even the dt770 2005. Are you driving the mmx 300 directly off your prelude? I have the same card.
Nox
from what i seen as far as the net goes, the mmx 300 was near 500.00 that's to much for me, have been thinking of the dt770 pro/ 80 ohms myself, but, i really don't know how good they actually are as far as games. I just want to be able to tell what sounds are coming from which direction, yet i haven't really heard anyone state how great they are in that matter.
in the UK, the 300's are a bit over £200, and the dt770 pro's can be found for around £90-100.
Nox
dt770pros 80 ohms are awesome for everything, i game on them ALOT

This one and a Velcro Pad + a small Headphone extension works nicely I'm told, never used it myself. Might even get one myself.
Note. That Mic on the MMX300 is supposed to be of higher quality as well. That's one of the reasons some of us asked for a review from the owner of the cansThe mod is useless if a low quality Mic is used.

I will probably get the dt 770 pro/ 80 ohms than.
Down the road maybe for xmas or something i look into the mmx version.
I really don't need a mic, GF don't like me talking much on the net, so i would be good just for the cans for now.
Thanks for the info about the cans.
I paid $300 for the MMX300's from beyer directly ...if you are interested PM me and I'll get you the person I talked to's email addy. He might do the same price for you.
For the other question yes the Prelude is the only thing driving these.

Ill stick to my DT-990 mic mod I learned from the one guy.... Still though, looks like higher end companies are starting to pay attention. The only thing I worry about is the comfort and the durability of the mic.
Here are mine. That aluminum piece I cut to the side hasn't budged but once in the past year.

looking for a retailer or online shipping in USA (XtremeSystems recommended) for this Beyer DT770 Pro 80 that seems to be highly recommended...not to steal MMX300 thread, but I can't spend $300...maybe $150 as stated by someone in here.
thanks

reason for replacing with DT770:
this my "ghetto mic mod"
supplies:
3:1 GEportable headset+ mic
Belkin 6ft extension for the mic
cooper...free...just laying around the house
you see how old that Aiwa headphone are? its a shame even.
So please help a brother out find a reputable online place to buy DT770 besides eBay.
