I like the looks of the P5Q Premium. Hopefully the slot placements are good as I haven't seen any pics yet. All I need is a PCI-Ex16, PCI-Ex1 & a standard PCI & also SATA connectors that aren't blocked by my video card!!!

P5K PRO and P5K/EPU have the same layout, so I know how annoying this is:

Just buy P5Q Pro/P5Q-E and live a happy life.

I completely missed this one before!

If it costs around £100, I just might be buying it! It looks too sweet not to get! But by the look of it, it will be a DDR3 board so then I cant get it

But considering that an MSI X48 board costs £140, I'm not going to be paying more for a P45!

More info on it here http://www.overclock3d.net/news.php?...s_ii_formula/1

Mosfet manufacturers must be loving ASUS at the moment with the Maximus II featuring 16-Phase PWM for the CPU, 3-Phase for the Northbridge and 2-Phase for the DDR2 slots
DDR2 woo hoo!!!! I'll be keeping an eye on this board.

It looks professionally made, Gigabyte boards, and some of the other Asus offerings in the past, with the brown PCBs have looked like kiddie toys, poorly made, or just out of date. This looks bang up to date and gorgeous IMO. I'll be getting one

Call it the last gasp of DDR2 and the FSB

Yea I thought so. So wouldnt the MSI X48c make a better buy for £140? I just want more power for my crossfire, but will wait for the full launch of the P45 boards before buying one. Basically since I can get an MSI X48 for £140, Im looking at a maximum of £100 for a decent P45. I like the maximus formula II, but it will be too pricey.

I can afford to buy the MSI X48 right away though, so if I get impatient again I might just end up doing so, but then my PC wont be too budgetty anymore with an X48. Ignore the sound setup which I initially bought for a £2.5k build 3 years ago and realised how big a waste of money it was, now I want budget only, but I'll keep my awesome sound even if creative sucks now :p

Wonder if the P35 boards will soft mod to P45 like P5E/Maximus - Ramgage.
    P5Q PRO = P5K PRO
P5K PRO is very solid board.
Just got ETA and prices on these boards here in Latvia. Should be here next week on stock.

Well and there is a monster in the lake of Loch Ness... I would hire James Bond to do it, he even kidnaps the Gigabyte Booth girls...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

    Darn

I'm a weakling. I went ahead and ordered an MSI X48c for £148 because I had £170 saved up in my paypal account to spend.

Well, it is better then P45 anyway

I'll try to measure these resistances when I go home. Why do you need to know these values?

During a bench from the dropped out condensate in this place there was a short circuit, as a result a mobo is dead: at start instead of put 1,3V on the processor moves 0,4-0,5V that insufficiently for processor work. I try to recover mobo, but it is bad that precisely same nearby is not present.
