GeForce 9900 GTX & GTS Slated For July Launch

The whole point is to be as confusing as possible. Keep in mind they released a G92 8800GTS.So in that case it went from G80 to G92 but kept the exact same name. Not a stretch at all that 9900GTX would be G200. The fact that it confuses you is only an argument in its favor.

Well, by keeping the 9xxxx name they are either downplaying their own products or they know GT200 isn't much of an improvement over the 9800s. Somehow I doubt it's the first, so....
