I'm waiting for the 12cm fan variant. I have to say i love everything about Noctua package presentation. They got adhesive washers to prevent the brackets from shorting / scratching your motherboard. They got a rubbery backing for the backplate to do the same thing. The fan clips can be adjusted so that if you ram cooler is blocking you can move the fans above the cooler.

Note to self : I'll try to take better shots with a tripod that time.
One more thing, is the included backplate identical to the one supplied with the True ? I'm thinking about getting one (120mm version) to reaplce my true so if the backplate is the same it would make installation a whole lot easier as I dont have to remove my mobo.

yeah basically the same X backplate cept noctua has a pad on top the plastic sheet that you see on the TRUE's backplate. Prevents scratches or maybe even helps in a pressure mount. I'm just guessing. Oh there is a new Revision. If you look at their website you will see the changed the L775 mounting bracket so it fits on the asus rampage that should work for all motherboards. Thats what i got.

Thanks, I just wasnt sure if it used the same sized screws for the hole/thread. Looks like i'll be ordering one soon .

Edit: Has anyone ordered from the heatsinkfactory.com ? Is it a trust worthy place ?

Without airflow they will get too hot, but with a fan in the front it's no problem

it doesnt look like there are any vents for the air to travel through or between the drives, hence the question.

drives can work upto high temperatures really, it just shortens their life span

amazing pictures people good stuff. And Tommy, do you dust your hardware before taking pictures :P hehe They all look so new. Not a spec to be seen on the PCB.

Looking forward to your new hardware ^^. Hope the DSLR is fairing well with you. May I ask what model?

i was never keen on cable management....i always have my case wide open so dont really need it...
as for the GX2,with the 12mm fan exausting hot air from the card, temps went straight down..
with 25C room temp,i have 53C idle - ~68C load with the fan permanently at 55%..
