They got a rubbery backing for the backplate to do the same thing. The fan clips can be adjusted so that if you ram cooler is blocking you can move the fans above the cooler.

One more thing, is the included backplate identical to the one supplied with the True ? I'm thinking about getting one (120mm version) to reaplce my true so if the backplate is the same it would make installation a whole lot easier as I dont have to remove my mobo.
