I dont think it will hit hundred... : - )

299$ is really really cheap, I dont see OCZ benefit economicly from this one... Thing is, they've received a heck of alot bad publicity because of the Cryo-Z, so now time to prove as much wrong as possible...
Atleast, of that Im quite sure...

The 9850 he has is perfect for testing high heat loads, which is the main aim of a cooling solution - if it doesn't coldbug, you are talking in excess of 200W heat output at 1.5v/1.4v never mind 1.7v/1.55v.

Whether it'll clock much past 3.5G under cold - I don't think so, maybe a cherry one but not most. NB should clock high under cold though.

For EU, I won't be using it esp. since it's primarily designed for 110VAC usage, but I'm quit near Tony to check it out if he gets one.

you can get condensation even if temps are above zero you know

good insulation is more important than anything else

for 24/7 i would use LOTS of grease as well

Certainly a better cooling than high-end water for the same price but it definitely won't be quieter. I hope there is info on what parts/compressor used etc

QX9770 @ 1.8v, I bet the watercooling will keep it colder then the Cryo-Z
Actually I think the cryo-z will die

+1 for the "24/7?" question. I don't know much about phase, but I was under the impression it was more of a benching cooling system.

Oh, and for the sake of purchasing one of these (*if* Fugger gives it a thumbs up) - does Canada count in that US-only agreement, or am I going to have to find someone who lives in the US and have it shipped to them and have them ship it to me?

Edit: Why no plans to test on a current Quad Fugger? It's great you want to test it on a dual-core to see if you can hit rated subambients... but many of us are on quads now and want to see results for them.

24/7 is possible with any "correctly" built phase, provided you insulate good enough and accept the noise and power consumption.

Repost of info I have previously posted.

We have a limited number, reason being we have to hand test each one before its sold.
Total quantity is well over 100 units, final quantity after testing will be below total quantity, the pic of 18 units you all saw was no where near what we have ...trust me I can not tell you total quantity though.

We are doubtful there will be a second run, the issues we had getting this first batch to market have proved to us for now it may not be worth doing again...this could change though.

So we had around 30 units ready for sale 4 weeks ago ( I was at the office) as more are tested they will be made available for sale...I asked for 10 a month to be tested.

All units are 110V, none of them will work on 230V, and we won't be shipping out side North America, if you buy one and have it shipped to EU etc we can not warrant the unit as we have no control over shipping and the fact you are using a 230 to 110 converter.

Shipping phase is a nightmare, ask Chilly how many units he lost shipping oversea's.

Now, we are considering selling the sub quality units to phase builders, these units will have no OCZ warranty and will probably have no case either, this is to protect our customers. We have not totally decided on this yet so please wait for me to post news.

So...if you want a Cryo-Z, you live in North America, you need to be watching OCZ's site, as soon as the buying engine goes live you will have to move fast

No specs on the units will change, we can't mod units etc.

Certainly cheap for a complete phase-change setup. Still, I'd rather have a custom high-end water setup. Probably quieter, smaller, and would use much less power. For those interested in phase-change, it looks like a good deal, however.

You guys need to actually read threads you post in

I see at least 6 questions that were already answered in post #8 of this very thread.

    Here it is again: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=183881

lol so these products practically obsoleted before they even hit the market

looks like OCZ's cutting their loses here

hopefully the warranty & Support will be honoured properly as this whole experience sounds like a bit of a nightmare from Tony's sentiments

considering all the ups and downs on this forum i can see why

The fact this needed to be done in the first place is a bit disturbing.

I will look forward to Fugger's INTERIOR shots since there seemed to be some issues with insulation on the unit Tweaktown reviewed.

I really hope there is a second run, I don't think I'll be getting one this first time around, but in the future I'd love to get one of these.

They came via boat to the USA, we have to check for damage etc, these units are not empty cases

Anything like this would be recheck for leaks etc

i dunno if this has been answered yet, but obviously there seems to be issues with the whole shipping overseas thing, which makes me curious as to why they couldnt have been built and assembled in the US, wouldnt that have cut down on cost and made mass production easier?
