I would be cautious about OCZ RAM. I had to return 2 different kits and finally went with a corsair set.
The OCZ kits (not all of them but who knows which work and which don't) have an issue with the JDEC controller whereby they don't provide the correct voltage indicator to the 790i board.
So as a result you get the dreaded C1 error. It can be resolved by using a different set of ram, booting, going into the bios and setting the memory voltage correctly, save exit, change ram and then it will work. The problem with that is if you have to reset the cmos (From overclocking or due to a bios update) you are right back in the same boat.
The corsair ram I picked up worked great right out of the package.
