I fit my thermalright ultra 120 e as well and yes its a very tight fit. I also have fan on the ram side. Took awhile to get the mounting bracket near the nb to hook in.
I also use an antec spotcool on the nb instead of the el crappo they supply. Quieter and more powerful.
Still having wierd network connection issues though.

The Thermalright Ultima-90I wasn't as tight, but the back-mount interfered with one of the screws (image below).
I had to maul it with a dremel, but all is well.![]()

any fsb utilities that work with this board as I an post at 505-550FSB but not get into windows... wanna try a program to change FSB in windows ... that said 4.5GHz on my E8400 isn't that bad- though it can do better I know.
uhm, i dont wanna dissapoint you but that sounds like a bot LOL
and they closed the ticket bcause... they dont have a solution for it?
so... if they do have a solution for an issue they will leave the ticket open?
i dont think so...
so pretty much what nvidia told you is:
we acknowledge that you have a problem and we are aware of it.
but we cant fix it... well this could make us look bad, so we will pretend we solved your problem and close the ticket anyways.
wtf?![]()
Anyone as any info about those leaking NB fusion block on the SIIE ? I've read a few report on asus forum...
AM getting mine today or tomorrow, am gonna be running a long leak test before i put it in.
, I know I cant trust any customer service but the couple of times I contacted nvidia everything went good.
w/e the case is, there IS people that do not have this problems and we will see the day I get my Own motherboard and try it out.
Things to do 1)Wait for a BIOS 2) Wait for new drivers 3) New mobo revision?
I would be cautious about OCZ RAM. I had to return 2 different kits and finally went with a corsair set.
The OCZ kits (not all of them but who knows which work and which don't) have an issue with the JDEC controller whereby they don't provide the correct voltage indicator to the 790i board.
So as a result you get the dreaded C1 error. It can be resolved by using a different set of ram, booting, going into the bios and setting the memory voltage correctly, save exit, change ram and then it will work. The problem with that is if you have to reset the cmos (From overclocking or due to a bios update) you are right back in the same boat.
The corsair ram I picked up worked great right out of the package.

Robilar, from what your describing it sounds like the spd wasnt programmed properly. was there no spd update for that memory? didnt ocz manage to fix this for ya? usually all you need is update the spd which takes 1 minute...
we at cellshock had problems like this with some of our first series ddr3 as well. the problem really is that jedec is too slow in certifying stuff and setting up specifications, so everybody kinda does his thing, and then they finally DO settle for one way of doing it which causes some people who did things different from that some trouble.
To whoever suggested using the built in AWD Bios, thank you! Worked great.
I have a couple of questions. I'm running the PVS34G1600LLK Patriot 4GB 1600 MHZ vipers but my memory speeds are both under 10k unlike some others here. Any suggestions that I need to do? Should I enable both P1 and P2? Can I run 1T?
Broly,
You're the fellow who threw a tantrum about the P03R2 BIOS over at the EVGA forums aren't you?... Thought you said you flashed that bios last week?? Shouldn't you know howto increase your RAM bandwidth already?, afterall you did present yourself as a hardware guru over there.
It's a small small internet...
Anyways be careful tightening up your RAM to much or you might corrupt your OS like many others have already.

The people on that board areing ass kissers. THey think P03R2 will blow up their system. I have a high end system like yourself and as a result I want the best performance. If nVidia has balls to release beta drivers all the time, why not release beta bios too? The only difference is that flashing it can be a tough time.
I did flash it last week, and it didn't stick. Instead when I tried to reflash it using my homebrew CD I bricked it and I had to get a new one, which took less than expected since I have Instant replacement. If you like those idiots over ther I'm sorry. I hate them.
Newegg had the SEII for $429 w/ free shipping and I couldn't let it pass. My previous EVGA 780i died 2 times. Let's see if the premium is worth it. By the way, how is the Vdroop after you enable "Loadline Calibration"??

ASUS 790i
So I had my system set at 4.68Ghz in bios.
1500 with a 12.5 multi
1500/4 * 12.5= 4687.5
When I got to windows it CPU-Z read it as 4.1Ghz and in 3dmark it could tell that it wasn't working like it should...tooo slow
I had the voltage around 1.75 with the NB pretty high I forget now what I had it set on.
I did have a over heat shut down have way thru the 2ed CPU test.
Could my QX9650 throttle down because of the heat?
