Cool , so these cards are more like a pair of 8800GTS 512 than 9800gtx right (in clocks and performance) ?

Sorry for jumping in but I had tried it with stock air and cold air at that. I only tried up to 1.15 from the stock 1.375 and saw no improvement over stock. Cooling is what really helps these cards.T M did you try this mod on air?probly not but was wondering if ok to use with just stock air cooler?i dont want the card to breath to much heat.

thanks your just the man i would hope to have answer.
(i was going to ask in your o/c thread but did not know if you wanted to field questions)
thats what i was thinking, because the colder i get it the more higher and stable clocks i can bench at.....was it good for at least 850 and 2200 or higher shaders?

@harleybro dosent ur card get the cold throttle issue with dice? since its probably at -60 to -70?
PS. a tip for the guys modding this card. use a sharp screwdriver or something to scrape a little off the pad u wanna solder. there's something like a protective laquer that prevents solder from biting easily. this is for my card at least![]()
Buildin
Thanks Raven , I want to get one of these and will vmod it on water with maybe a little bit of dice chilling happening too . Im watching everyones results keenly.

That probably explains all the problems i had trying to run 1.4V on Gigabyte... it idled fine but loading up '06 would kill the system.
