How did you mod your bios to 1.25v? I can't see any options >1.10v in Nibitor with the bios you linked.
I don't have a 8800GT (only GTS 512MB) so it wouldn't be of much use for you.
Also, have you measured the voltage with a multimeter that it actually is 1.25v?

Yup, bridging the pads should work too. Moving the part can be easier to reverse, though. And it's tidier too.
