nothing to do with the service its bc of overdrive and ccc read in the later pages of http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=165389

so what it is is overdrive has a max of 858 core when you go over that with out modifying part of the inf file for the ati dirvers it will not know what speed to set the card to and what voltage so in the inf you tell it to go to state 4 and overdrive now shows 900 min and 900 max.

You can check it by running services.msc. You could try to disable it just to see if the problem returns. If it does, then you have properly isolated the problem which comes in handy in the future
