Use crossfire with this board, and the performance and compatibility with much of the games, Is not expected, although there is an improvement in performance is not worth, it would be better to use a 3870x2. i use catalyst 8.1.

    mad:
Estube testing various straps, and get to the desktop to achieve 3600mhz (400 * 9). Without configuring
Many more variables. I want to reach 445 * 9 and ready .. I agree with that for now jajaja, thx.

I leave the batch of my e8400: Q748A223. One knows whether it is a good batch? 4ghz happy?

I believe so. Q754, Q746 and Q748 seem to be nice batches for E8400. I doubt that you won't hit 4GHz for 24/7 as i've hit 3.8GHz with my E6750.
Do read this topic though, it might help:

Total deal breaker for me as it is working so well this way on 2/14. The reduced heat and power usage is quite nice while still maintaining stability. Will really come in handy in the hot summer months. If a way around this is found out I will surely jump as I always like to have the latest software.

I am still hoping someone who is using 3/11 can let me know the RAID ROM bios version as I am hoping that gets updated soon. I have odd issues with my drives at home on this much older RAID ROM bios that I hope the latest remedies.

If anyone is skilled and confident enough to mod the 2/14 bios with the latest RAID ROM please do let me know.
hehehe same here besides, 2/14 is an official bios while the 3/11 is still in beta stage

I am interested in buying the LT P35 T2R but cant find reviews on it so I figured I'd ask you guys

    Does this board work with

    F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ

Is the heatpipe cooling the only difference between LT/UT Because the LT is like $60 cheaper....I assume they have the same PWM ( 8 phase ) ?

    All I want is

    9 x 400 on my Q6600 with no or little vdrop/vdroop ( abit ip 35 prop 1.4V Bios 1.38V Windows 1.3V Load no great success )

Here is one of the best reviews around.

    http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3129

Read through this a couple times and you will be well on your way with this board.

As for the G.Skill ram, it would run just fine if it is anything like their PC8000 variant of 2 X 2GB.

And yes, the boards and bios are identical minus the different cooling solution.

Cant actually say with any experience but I have the 4GB OCZ Reaper X PC2 8000 kit which from what I hear use the same IC's as the G.skill kit & they run great up to about 1100~1125MHz on this board.

This memory has some issues with DFi P35 motherboard. Current DFI has no solution to fix it yet.

    Also happens on F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ, F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ, F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK

    Thank you

Can any of you guys confirm this? I really dont want to order a mobo to find out it wont boot or my ram wont work with it

Seems the 3/11 bios has been replaced by the 3/17. Same change log about the changes simply being an over voltage warning.

Anyone care to flash and see what has changed? Perhaps the issue of leaving Vcore on Auto has been rectified?

I would try it, but is there any point for 65nm moving from 12/24 to any newer bios?

I'm on 2/14 on my Q6600 and find it a VERY good bios. I would never go back to 12/24 though it did quite well too. I would like to try the newest whenever it comes out as long as it doesn't break support that I am currently used to which the 3/11 bios did with the voltage limitation when setting vcore.

If you do try it, can you make note of the SATA RAID ROM BIOS revision? Thanks.

As I have said before, I don't have a clue what GSkill could be talking about. This post was done with the F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ.

I had asked if it was possible to change the VCORE auto setting back but I don't think it would have been done this fast if possible at all.

I've been running with 8GB of the 8000 for several months now, never had an issue so I wonder what the Rep is talking about. I know I've seen others using the 6400's with this board as well.

is there any reason for this?
it is a feature i am willing to pay the extra money for a dfi mobo to get it

i don't think it's wise to remove it

With regards to the 2 x2GB ram thing all I can think is maybe G.Skill use a selection of different IC's with there 6400 8000 & 8500 kits.

Based on pure speculation & a couple of bits of hear say maybe the G.Skill kits have the same sort of deal as OCZ which apparently can use 3 different makes of IC on there kits & its pot luck as to whether you get a kit that can clock or not

Either that or they don't actually have any boards and are relying on what someone else is reporting. If this is the case maybe they should give out a couple of sets for you guys to test with.

I have to say how impressed I am with this motherboard. This is my 1st DFI board and it's been so easy to overclock.

I'm currently at my target of 8x500 with an E8400 and 4x2GB Mushkin XP2-8000. I was stuck at 8x482 for a few hours yesterday due to the memory, but once I found that this memory required tRFC at 52 it didn't take long to get up to 500MHz.

I'm using CPU VID Special Add 111.57% with vdroop disabled giving 1.360-1.376v under load in Vista. With vdroop enabled, I required 112.51% to provide the same voltage in Vista. NB is 1.53v. C1E and EIST are enabled.

I'm currently tweaking the memory timings and once complete need to run a full stability test. Once that's done, I'll post settings and such in more detail.

Thanks to everyone who's contributed to this thread, especially those that posted their own settings. I found the information here invaluable, and it's really made my task so much easier.
