I also applied a voltmod to my 512mb 8800gt (sparkle).
Works fine, I set the card to 1,25V IDLE which results in ~1,23V LOAD.
With these voltages i can reach around 770mhz gpu clock

But my problem is, the card gets really hot. I don't mean the GPU, it doesn't exceed 50°C LOAD (I use the accellero S1).
No i mean the other "parts" of the card.
especially these ones:

I can't even touch them...The area around these (commutators?) is very warm too.
Is this normal? Because i don't wanna fry my card in the next days..

I only set it to 1,25V IDLE because I thought it should be still safe isn't it?

And another thing i recognized- after doing the mod some parts of my card do strange sounds- like a summing/humming
