Hey guys, any tips for overclocking my Q6600 G0 ? Ive got it at 380 * 9 and its 12+ hours orthos stable. But i cant get the FSB any higher. i even went out and got a P5E to test it in but its still the same (Not to mention 2 billion options in the bios compaired to my P5B Dlx).
I can boot into windows at 450 FSB and my rams good for 575 + 5-5-5-15 @ 2.1 so it must be my settings.
Any threads that can explain the jungle which is the P5E ? Thanks!

Has anyone put more than 1.5V into a Q6600 on just water (as oppossed to phase). Temps seem ok at 1.425 but I don't think I can go further with less than 1.5.
What are your temps and clocks? I use 1.5v+ on air and it's fine (turns out my degradation issues were due to the bios, not the CPU).
Yes I have used 1.5v+ on water with no problem. My quad has no issues and can do 4150mhz.
Tried again to get higher then 9X425,no POST.
Tried everything on auto like some suggested and it didnt work...
my CPU is limited to 3.8 thats the only reason i can think of...

Ok,
I can run stable 450Mhz x 8 or 422Mhz x 9, but I cannot get 450Mhz x 9 to hit 4Ghz. Temps are not an issue, I am water cooling, so my temps get to only 60 degrees under severe Everest load with P95 running also at 3.8Ghz and 1.5 volts. Anyway, I think all I need is a little more voltage, however on my Gigabyte MB (P35-DS3R) if I put the cpu voltage on 1.6 I only actually get 1.5 do to Vdroop. The next step is 1.8, there is no in between, and after Vdroop would probably be 1.7 or 1.75. I think this is too high for this chip, has anyone gone this high on voltage? Any advice on getting it to 4Ghz? By the way, I have added .2 to both MCH and the Northbridge voltages and that doesn't seem to help. My next step is to try and see what my FSB wall is, it may be possible to get to 475Mhz x 8 which would equal 3.8Ghz. Since I have already hit that with 422Mhz x 9, that really isn't much progress. Has anyone hit 500Mhz on this chip?
Thanks,
Utnorris

Johnny_FTM, isn't all P5K Premium supposed to be Rev. 2.xxx? How come yours still says Rev. 1.xxx according to that screen?
Are there two versions of P5K Premium? One is the Pearl (or is it black) edition and one is the normal color one? Am I missing something? I RMAed my P5K Deluxe. Hope I will get a Premium in return (which is what everyone is saying anyway).
