The funniest part of what you're saying is that you have it so backwards. ATI pays for games, NVIDIA does not.
Even so that's not inherently horrible... ATI is still supporting the game's development. It's just much less thoughtful.. it's like getting cash for Christmas instead of a present... sure it's useful but not a lot of time/effort went into picking that out for you. Besides, the cash could *conveniently* end up in a particular developer CEO's bonus check. Support can't
