Besides 9600GT vs 3870X2 is a moot test. And something is fishy about that test as in many other much more reliable ones it shows that 9600GT is around 3850 speeds.

Wanna make a fair review? try 3850CF on X38/48 vs 9600GT on all range of games.

By that logic, that's not *fair* either then, right? ATI and Intel have come out and said how much they work together to ensure optimal CF scaling on Intel chipsets.

Therefore you must bench on the only truly objective chipset known as "xBananas680-48i"

Truly though, the chipset you bench on doesn't make enough of a difference to turn a 20-30% win into a loss. Otherwise we'd be sitting here talking about upgrading and SLI'ing chipsets instead of upgrading and SLI'ing video cards
