anyone have an issue using an Audigy card in the PCI slot nearest the bottom of the board?

I initially had my card in the 2nd pci slot, but wanted to add an aftermarket gpu cooler. So I uninstalled the soundcard and it's software/drivers moved it to the 3rd slot and windows was massively unstable. I couldn't even reload the drivers. So I put the card back in the second slot and all was fine again.
