ALSO
ive found that they hynx 1.1 memory bios version is more stable. used to crash all the time now no crash at all... i thought 2900pro's were supposed to have hynx 1.0's but i guess i got 1.1's so if you have flashed from a pro to xt, and are on 1.0 try the 1.1's to get a bit higher memory clock. im running the mem at 990 with stock voltages.
thanks for that one ZenEffect.
i couldn´t get my mem one mhz above 900 without heavy artifacting in 3dmark06. i didn´t really know that there are cards with different ram chips. i just used a sapphire bios that i found on techpowerup at that time (a week or so after the release of the 2900pro).
i downloaded the hynix1.1 bios and now i can up my mem without any artifacts.
i even tried 999 on the mem, without artifacting, but 3dmark just locks up. guess i´ll need a little more volts for the mem then.
edit: lol.. why does that "quote" thing not work???
you missed a / on the first quote
im going to try that vrm heatsink on the post a few up tonight. mem volts can be controlled by atitool. do you know if you can do the volts on the 2nd card with atitool or will it just reset?
