at stock its slower than 3870, many results are with overclocked 9600gt cards, thats why they score the same as 3870 or are even a tad faster...
very unprofessional to review the first of its generation videocard only at oced settings and not at reference clocks. they should have done reference clocks vs oced vs competition, not only to know how ref compares to the competition, but also to get an idea how much faster an oced 9600gt is, how it scales, how fast itll be vs other mfgs oced 9600gts that have higher or lower oced settings etc...
