Set n/2 to enabled. e8400 won't do 9.5, so set it at 6, 7 or 8 and then enable n/2.

i have the Team GKX...no prob here...![]()
650MHz @2.15v
At 2.15 wow, that's great, thanks for the reply. I got the 6400s and I'm hoping these can meet what the Gskill HZ 6400s I have can do. The Gskills are starting to need more volts. I'd love to get more of them as well but they're sold out and price gouged.
No problem mate, here's what they/it did, these are all SPi1M 100% stable results, though the results themselves are not competitive.
So the ram is TeamXtreem PC6400 4-4-4-10 @ 2.2V (TXDD1024M800HC4DC), i used 1:1(333/667 i think?) strap for CL3 overclock and 4:5(266/667) strap for CL4.
800MHz CL3-3-3-8 @ 2.31V
850MHz CL3-3-3-8 @ 2.45V
900MHz CL3-3-3-8 @ 2.68V
1000MHz CL4-4-4-4 @ 2.31V
1150MHz CL4-4-4-4 @ 2.55V
1200MHz CL4-4-4-4 @ 2.75V
The interscores i won't put but the settings were, for 4-4-4-4 CL settings, 2.61V for 1161MHz, 2.63V for 1171MHz, 2.66V for 1181MHz and 2.71V for 1191MHz.
Not so bad, although the voltages are a bit high for these are D9GMH microns..
Hope it helps.![]()

Hey, that's very helpful thanks! It gives me a range to consider when I start to use these in this board.
Hrmm, all this talk about RAM has me thinking I can change my Ballistix from cas 5 back to cas 4 (since I don't intend to OC further). I wonder...
And then somehow, I doubt RAM timings will show up much at all in real world performance, considering Intel's MO is bandwidth, not latency.

i'm shattered..
right, bought an p35-t2r,
e8500,
corsair pc-6400 4-4-4-12 x2
8800gt 512 and a 700w arctic power psu.
getting a constant reboot loop with 8 pin and 4 pin rails, just tried different psu, same story. if the 8 pin rail is disconnected it stays up,
code 88. no output to the screen in neither case. all fans spinning, no beeps whatsoever. cleared cmos, battery out, tried w/o ram n cpu - no luck.
will try to see if the e8500 and ram is still alive.. n try to send the mobo n psu back.
any similar experience?

That's a bummer, mine has been like a rock.
Did you get it up at all or was it like this from the get go? I've never tried an Arctic PSU, what was the other you tried? You need a solid psu with that system.
Also, are you sure you have a speaker in the case?
the speaker is present, tried a hiper power one which is running a q6600 and a 8800gtx plus 3 hdds. code 88
never got it running. its just 3 days old. if the mobo hasn't killed the e8500, i might brave it and put the q6600 to see if it posts n if lucky to update the bios?
will keep you informed. shed me some more ideas in the mean time
Yea seems to me the bios needs an update. Try the latest 2/15 beta as it works very well and has pretty much 100% support for the newer 45nm cpu's do to its updated microcode recognition and proper VTT voltage tables.

Your day is going to get much better!
These Team Group Ram run great, just about identical to the G Skill. Supposedly they are both D9GMH (B3-6). Good thing these are 30% the price and in stock. The fact that they are performing the exact same also tells me that my GSkills have not faded at all. Time for more V!!
Running 4 4 4 4 1000mhz with 2.19 st in bios. I have not had much luck going over 1100, but I don't pump that much voltage to them so... I'm liking a solid 8.5x500fsb with tight timings. Fifty bucks!
I have been testing a lot and this board is delivering, very solid. I hope RAM talk isn't mucking up the thread, but I feel it's interesting to know how certain other products play with the board.
What is the nominal voltage your Team's are rated for? For mine it's 2.0-2.2V.
2.19V for 500MHz CL4 is a nice score dude.![]()
Mine were alse dead cheap...![]()
Same this 2.0 - 2.2v
If you want to push them a bit, voltage wise, just make sure you put a 120mm fan to blow onto them to keep them cool, they won't mind the voltage, well at least my didn't...![]()
I just got one of the $200 Q6600 from Microcenter, and I got a 1.2375 Vid chip, I will be testing it to what it can do.
EDIT: So far, I've got it at 3.8 @ 1.52, it's running a little hot, but I haven't tweak anything yet.
been out in a while, been busy preparing for a lanparty.
I had Team Xtreems DDR2-1066 as well.Max rated voltage 2.3-2.4V

Haven't got much time to play around with my rig recently coz of my piling exams.
That run was made in vista32.
