Horrible Mobo and GPU box art

I just knew my IP35 Pro would be first!

A monster truck is definitely not relevant on a mobo box

The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Too funny. This was my favorite comment:

I don't know what sort of technology it takes to incapacitate a robot with bordeom, but Sapphire has done it. Sold.

I can't stand the IP35 Pro's box, but I still managed to buy two. Good thing we don't run motherboard boxes.

    FWIW, my favorite:

    Project Zero Eight

    CM Cosmos
    abit IP35 Pro - MCW30
    E8400 @ 4GHz (8x500) - Fuzion
    2GB Patriot 6400LL @ DDR1000
    8800GTS 640MB - EK FC8800

But it is relevant to 3DMark01

(well, at least a red, off-roading pickup is, not necessarily a monster truck)

Heh, I actually had that card... I remember when I was all happy to move from my TNT to a GTS2. Guess I never really thought about it, I'd rather they came in a plain box with a label and they could pass the savings along to us! Waaaiiitt... that makes too much sense, after all, who doesn't want a raptor on the box?

I like to display my boxes, so I'd prefer them be good looking

The only thing wrong with it is the EXTRA GPU! part.

I'd have said the "Hottest DX10 Game Inside" ruins it more than the "Extra GPU!!" bit.. Either way, how the hell can these companies not get *DECENT* designers for their packaging? Club3D had nice minimalistic design back in the day, just as Gainward was generally the whackest ugliest stuff I've ever laid my eyes on. Made it look like a hello kitty collectible more than a state-of-the-art graphics card..
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

Someone mentioned they couldn't display their box because the eyes on the umbrella scared their children

I like these two old Asus boxes, nice, simplistic, and best of all, NO Pictures!

    http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/...%20043.jpg

My current GFX card and Mobo's boxes are these. They arent too bad compared to others in this thread though! ACyborg Bear claw is a little silly, but the rest looks nice, and the biker Chick at least looks real:

(photobucket should eventually resize the motherboard pic to 800x600 as well)

I'll have to see if I can find my DFI box - it says "UV on - tweak fun". People in my office mocked me for years. There was also some stupid gamer on the box - which didn't help. Great board though!
