I would also like to know this and voltage measuring points as well. I can take some high res shots of board if that would help, may take a day or two since I would have to disassemble rig. I have no problem poking around with a DMM, just can't identify the proper components.

The boards are not the same, that is the DS3R in the link, the DS3P has a different layout. The DS3P, DS4, and DQ6 share the same layout. Take a look at the pictures in this thread, http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=142340 , look closely at the top of the ram slots, note the position and orientation of the fan header.

This, http://img262.imageshack.us/my.php?i...sc08545zw5.jpg , was posted over at the VR-Zone forums. Compare that with the ones posted in the DS3R review and you can see see the components are in different places.

    I dont see why not,
But i dont have the board here to check the voltages / resistance
so could be worth checking the other board and verifying i m right

The pencil P35 DS3R vdroop mod DOES NOT work. I did it last night and my volts tanked!!!! Normal 1.35 became 1.22 and load was 1.04v. I lost stability at stock settings... remove the mod and its running 3.6 @ 1.525, 1.44 actual now.

Sucks cause I wouldn't have ordered this board if I had known the vdroop mod didnt work.

EDIT - in fact just to test it again today. I made 1 swipe with #2 pencil. Booted up, voltage dropped from 1.49v to 1.44v idle at the 1.525v setting. Under load 1.44 dropped to 1.37 and the machine froze. SO, the pencil mod VR-Zone is touting actually LOWERS your voltage!!!!!!!!

Any chance anybody ever came up with the vdroop mod for ds3p? I would also like to know voltage monitoring points.

Does the vdroop mod also applies to DS3L?
I guess the layout of the boards are all the same so I believe it should work?
