Started a vmod thread in the vmod section for the asus card, with all the information I could get and the best picture I could get.

Whats the stenciled text on those two large IC's grau so we can have a stab? The pictures are, umm, not too good to be honest.

Sorry, a bit drunk ! Just seen the Anpec unit. You need to measure resistance pin 4 to 7, it will likely be between 500 and 2000. Then set pot to 20x. Measure voltage before and after and you should see a small jump if it is successful. Then slowly wind down the resistance on the pot.
