In other words don't worry about flashing, I don't see myself flashing over 100 times not to mention 1 million.
I must admit I flashed the bios on this board about 30 times by now.

And some good news. I got this 2x2GB Adata 800+ extreme memory ($100+). It works up to 1120MHz on this board using only 2.2v and 5-5-5-15-48 .
    Currently running at 1066MHz 5-5-5-15 2.05v .
Good to hear that. From my experience, this board needs loose tRFC value to OC 2GB sticks. What do you think about that?

I'm not sure it's board fault. For example with Team Elite I need 54+ Trfc and performance level 8-9 to run stable up to 1000MHz.
For this Adata I need only 46-48 Trfc and Performance level 7 over 1000MHz.
I guess it depends on memory chips.
    Right now I'm using 5-5-5-15-48-6-12-6-6 for 1066MHz and a performance level 7.
I don't even bother with lower clocks and tight timings like 4-4-4 because on P35 there is more gain if you run higher memory clocks rather than 800-900MHz on CL4.

I think I agree with you. Actually I have tried 3 sets of budget 4GB(2GBx2) kits and found out that my Elite can do high speed. With the other two sets, I didn't know I have to raise tRFC to overclock. My Elite can do more than 1000mhz with 5-5-5-18-55-10-10-10-10 at 1.9V. What voltage are you using for MCH, FSB and chipsets?

Has anyone with d9gmh / d9gkx sticks reached a frequency of 600MHz or higher?
Whats the reason why this board isn't as good in memory overclocking as others like p5k or something similiar

I flashed it (I previously was on 1.7b6) and damn it freaked me out.
It couldnt save bios settings. every single time it sayd bad bios checksum. i couldnt even set the boot order in bios- the changes wouldnt apply.

lucky for me that the F11 worked and I could select the boot device on the fly and booted my usb-mem and flashed to 1.7 official.

Use afud 408 to flash the bios, other newer versions of bios flasher are buggy.

    Yes I'm running 1.84 now.
As I said before, use afud408 to flash the bios, I never had any error with it.
I had the save setting problem when I used newer versions like 412 or latest beta.

Thank You so much! Mine says AS7345 and under that it says IMS160. I guess this is Bios v1.6? I hope so because I needed a mobo that would support E8400 right out of the box. I still haven't gotten my e8400 but it's coming. Just waiting for my PSU and that E8400 and I will build my first PC ever and overclock my first CPU ever CAN'T WAIT!

Hello guys, I've migrated from a 975x powerUp to a Neo2 FR, and as I don't want to break any OC record, I put my Q6600 G0 (vid 1.2125) at 3 Ghz with all voltages stock, hopping that SpeedStep and C1E worked as with the 975x, but EIST (speedstep) does not reduce the multiplier, and C1E is missing from the bios (now running v1.6) is there any "hidden" option or another bios version that has C1E ??

Normally C1E isn't hidden in the bios.
Do you have activated in windows in the energy management tab, that you want to have minimum consumption? (i dunno whats exactly in english but i think you'll know what i mean)

I've done a windows repair yesterday, maybe this has changed the energy profile, I will check tonight. But still C1E is missing in bios, hope the option EIST includes SpeedStep and C1E.

C1E is located in the "Advanced Options" in Bios.
    Excuse me for my English

Well EIST is doing its magic after changing the energy profile to "minimun power...". With the standar power management, the C1E option enabled in the 975x does the same efect as EIST. I'm using bios v1.6, and no C1E option is present, what bios are you using ??
