0524 VPMW was seen by me at ebay in the past but I didn´t buy some because of my horrible 3700+ CBBWE 0524 VPMW![]()
I tried a whole bunch of 4000+'s and 3800+'s last night, no 4000+ did more than 3200mhz/1.47v stable on air. So no WR's I guess, but I think I have a chip for the guy who wanted a decent one.
However, a 4000+ KABYE did 3ghz @ 1.5v, I have a feeling that one has the mopst potential lol.
4000+ 3dmark03 screen attached. Look at the memory clocks!NO artifacts in 3dmark01 or 03 (ran both a few times). Damn Rivatuner won't go higher than 1200mhz, I wonder what the real max is

A 3800+ lbbwe 0547 was also pretty good. 2.9ghz @ 1.63v stable, and 370mhz htt. Don't think it's good enough for a WR, though. I also tested 2 CBBLE chips, 0512 and 0513. Coldbug HARD, max htt on air was only 330mhz lol.
I can adjust the voltage in atitool (which suddenly worked lol), but I need to use rivatuner to make the fan run at full speed - and it's a PITA to switch from one program to the other etc so I'll just leave it at 850/1200 for now.
The memory can't do much more than 1200mhz. Maybe 1230 or so 8tried with atitool just now), not more than that on the stock cooler. Not sure if more cold will help, either.

1. What kind of air cooling were you using?
2. What were you ambient temperature?
3. Do you think they'll do 3GHz stable 1.35v stock cooler 23c ambient?
4. How much would you want for one?
With regards to the 4000+ that did 3GHz at 1.5v

B1's are never great with sub-zero temps, but the BY's can work nicely down to at least -30-40c. And if the difference is only 200mhz between the 2 chips I think tha with optimal temperature, the BY cip I got to 3 ghz has a little bit more potential than the KAB1E's. But argh, I doubt I will see more than 3.8ghz on any of these anyway - if the BY doesn't scale VERy nicely with voltage and temps.
Air cooling, but low ambient. I didn't notice while I was testing. When the ambients were higher I had to turn it down to 3150 for it to be game stable (ran orthos for 1h @ 3120 without any problems as well).
I'll test the one I'm using now @ 3ghz / 1.35v with high amibents (I have no idea how hot it is in here atm but definately well above 20c.).

i have one x2 3800+ Toledo core with LCBQE stepping. it's stable @ 2.6Ghz with 1.5V. seems too high V for 2.6GHz. Max that I do with this Toledo was 3004Mhz but totaly unstable (i can run windows for 20sec) @ 1.65V.
But I was searching and found out that that stepping isn't so bad and i've se a lot of cpu's over 3.0GHz with that stepping... i have bad luck or?
Which step ? 05XX or 06XX ? I had one X2 3800+ Manchester @ 2,6 Ghz @ Single stage and primeDid 2,26 ghz and prime with air cooling and default vcore...was 0526upbw
