What could be some reasons for me not being able to even POST at 500 MHz FSB? My processor is stable at 3.51 GHz @ 9x390 and 3.504 GHz @ 8x438, and my memory is DDR2 1000 tested stable at that speed. When I set my computer to 3.5 GHz @ 7x500 at RAM at 1:1, my computer can't even post; it gives a postcode of C1. I was hoping to be able to support high FSBs for a future Penryn overclock.
Looks like the limit for POSTing is about 468 MHz, and booting Vista is in the 450+ range.
CPU: Q6600 G0
RAM: G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ DDR2-1000
