I'm using the stock Intel cooler until WCing in a few months. Until then, should I use the duct? Should the fan be intake or exhaust? Should the duct be at more of an angle, or should it run alongside the side of the case?
I don't use the duct and I have the fan exhausting. For some reason if you ask a stock fan placement question in this thread it just gets ignored in favor of case :banana::banana::banana: and apparently mountain biking -page back a little bit and you'll see I've asked similar questions 3 times. IMHO stock fan placement for the v2000 and 1000 would be a good baseline for anyone looking at this thread who purchased this case. I personally have the v2000+ which has the side window with the PCI slot fan mounted in it. I have that fan blowing on my GPU directly, the fan behind the CPU is exhausting hot air and my Zalman 9500 is blowing right into it. I added an intake fan in the middle 3 drive bays that blows right at the cpu (this case should've had an upper intake fan IMHO), the bottom fan is an intake as well, and there are 2 80mm fans exhausting right above the PSU. I hope this is helpful, and if anyone has other opinions about fan placement please be forthcoming with them because, I've asked 3 times in the appropriate thread about the case in the title.

Thanks for the reply, I just wanted to make sure I was getting all I could out of the case

And I agree that some questions do get ignored...I hadn't noticed the mountain biking page before, but now that I do, I'm left to wonder why my v2000 question was ignored, while an off-topic subject was discussed

Yeah, if only this was a mountain biking forum, if it was an annoying chick posting pictures of her cats or babies, you know how we'd all feel...

The side panels have been cut with the water jet machine and flames are on both side pannels. I’ve been using this case for about 2 years, and then I changed it to the V2100 model. I might paint it and use it in my next project or will just sell it

I'm thinking about buying a Lian Li but I cant decide which model...

    v1000B plus II
    or
    v1200B plus II

How big is difference between these two? And I was thinking about getting the v1000B only because you could by a special v1000 side-window panel, maybe it fits the v1200b too?

    Please help me out guys!

The v1200 is a longer case, I think its a good 5-6 inches longer if I remember correctly, so it can take eatx boards. So the side panel for the v1000 will not fit.

The v1000 is a very nice case, but if you need lots of room the v1200 is the way to go.

the v1000 is perfect for air, the v1200 is perfect for a large watercooling system or lots of hard drives. All of the V series are beautiful and you won't regret buying one IMHO.

V1000 is tight for psu length if you use both lower drive cages.
If I bought now after building my V1000 Duallie I'd get V1200 or V2000.
With both drive cages in the lower section even a Corsair HX-620 is a tight fit lengthwise and any 750 watt psu on the market is too long.

question for the guys that have the rads in the bottom of the case with air blowing down, have you cut holes in the bottom or have you just left it so that the air goes through the case holes

The holes would be too restrictive; I'd at least cut around the grills.
