I'm using the stock Intel cooler until WCing in a few months. Until then, should I use the duct? Should the fan be intake or exhaust? Should the duct be at more of an angle, or should it run alongside the side of the case?
I don't use the duct and I have the fan exhausting. For some reason if you ask a stock fan placement question in this thread it just gets ignored in favor of case :banana::banana::banana: and apparently mountain biking -page back a little bit and you'll see I've asked similar questions 3 times. IMHO stock fan placement for the v2000 and 1000 would be a good baseline for anyone looking at this thread who purchased this case. I personally have the v2000+ which has the side window with the PCI slot fan mounted in it. I have that fan blowing on my GPU directly, the fan behind the CPU is exhausting hot air and my Zalman 9500 is blowing right into it. I added an intake fan in the middle 3 drive bays that blows right at the cpu (this case should've had an upper intake fan IMHO), the bottom fan is an intake as well, and there are 2 80mm fans exhausting right above the PSU. I hope this is helpful, and if anyone has other opinions about fan placement please be forthcoming with them because, I've asked 3 times in the appropriate thread about the case in the title.
