Definitely unrelated, I am on the x-38 with a 3850 just fine. works like a champ, no idea why the X2 refused to work after two days but it was running perfect, I got up to the no boot thing. I will have the replacement tommorow .(Motherboardpro FTW!!!)

I did and it seemed to make no difference. Just took forever to load.

That would be a problem. I dont have any other way of installing the drivers. I guess I could burn a disk. Are the ones that came on the SATA floppy the correct ones?

What do I need to enable in the bios to allow it to see all of the drives and allow me to set them up in raid-0?

Maybe try setting your USB device as USB-CDROM in the BIOS settings, rather than as a HDD?

Well, I got it to install, but not on raid drives. I may try again later, but I think I have a bad drive.

I have raided Vista several times, Including now. I run a dual boot, 2 matching 250 gb Seagate drives with a 250 gb partition for xp and the remainder for Vista home prem. 32 bit. plus a storage drive for media files. I always install XP first then when I get a chance I start my vista install from within XP. seem much faster and easier for me. then when you boot you are given a boot menu that lets you select which o.s. or you can also run a built in memory testing program.

the only stand alone installs of 64 bit went smoothly on raid but that was during the Beta and RC1 days and I don't recall any issues.

did you get it to see your other drive properly ?

Thanks Dede! They are disabled for now. I got a mixed settings from Praz and Eva. I'll post template later.

Board is running great so far in 450*9 with 4:5 divider. Gonna work lowering the voltages now.

Are you from Portugal or Brazil (or neither)? That name kinda familiar...

Drive is officially dead. I am past the Newegg RMA window, so I have to go through Western Digital. I hope they aren't a pain to work with.

Had to RMA a raptor about 6 months ago. It took one phone call with the usual, convince me that the drive is really dead, and the rest was very little hassle. They do cross ship and don't charge your card unless you fail to send the bad drive in time. I had the new drive in a couple of days. Overall, I was very happy about how smooth things went.

what are reasonable voltages for VTT, SB and NB ?

I have hell of a time getting my Q6600 to 3600, i got it OOCT stable at 3537 now with 1.4 Vid...but 3600 is an absolute *no-go* here. MAYBE with 1.48+ Vid but then i would get rather unpleasant temps 75+/core....

Right now 30mins into OCCT i am getting 69-70/core which i think is still ok. It's just a few mhz but i didnt think that 3600 is that hard, unlike someone posting before me saying almost each should get 3600 w/o problems.
