How stiff is the back plate?
Is it aluminum or steel?
Edit: Asked Eddie, it's steel.

Yep, 2mm thick steel.

dayam i want a clear top
i can go without the backplate because i have enough swiftech/thermalright/scythe backplates.
But yeah, the clear top will help you visual see if your jets are clogged or not.

I just got my EK Supreme with the black Delrin top today.
I'm going to send it off to Martinm210 for testing so he can include it in his flow rate tool.
And while I'm waiting, I'll order a clear Acrylic top for it, the 775 Backplate, and some of the soon-to-be-released EK mosfet backplates.

quick question..
the new mounting stuff for s775 will/ is it included with newer shipments of the ek supreme and if yes any way to tell the difference between old and new without having access to the packaging (i.e. any way to find out if you get it or not if you order online?).
If you buy the Supreme from the EK store, the Supreme comes with the Universal plate by default.
I made a request on my order to substitute the LGA 775 plate for the Universal plate, and managed to get it that way.
But by default, the LGA775 plate and the backplate are seperate items.
Hi!
The free 775 mounting plates were for the first buyers of the block.
Because we did not realize sooner the problems with some boards.
If you order in our webshop we could supply you the block with only 775 mounting plate.

We should have some results from that in about a week or so.![]()
