"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

especially packed that tight. I had to build a duct which leads to a 120mm fan to cool the ram and nb on my two dual 5000x sm systems.
i was really hoping for 775, cheap dual socket like the old days.
No...you can't say that -Vapor
I'm loosing interest already, 3k retail a cpu!

can someone post a link or explain to me what the difference between regular ddr2 and fb dimm (or fd whatever it was) ddr2 memory is?
Also this is just a truly sickening setup...really amazing too see, I want one even more now!

FB-DIMMs use what's called an AMB (advanced memory buffer) chip located in the center of the memory module. An FB-DIMM transmits data in packets, using a bi-directional serial bus. Also, a conventional memory controller requires 240 trace lines per channel, while an FB-DIMM requires only 70. This reduces the complexity of the circuit layout.

To be a professional noob/idiot
* Default factory speed is for noobs.
* Everything must go above the speed that the factory consider safe.
* Everything for more performance
* Everything fits, and everything can be broken.
* Most problems can be fixed by adding a volt or two.
* Post things in your signature that makes no sense at all.
Still would have been nice if this board had used DDR2/DDR3 normal memory. Quite a few here would have scooped one up.

It was noted that the operating system was 32 bit and not 64-bit, and that is resulting in a large performance drop. Also, the RAM was noted to be running in single channel.

RAM.
9,835 difference. I can't count. :P I apologize.

It will release on February 4th (Monday). Problem is, very few stores will have stock since this is a premium quantity-limited product.
couldnt find these one anywhere, first one look very familiar

here is how it scales:
2x4000 = 11.8
4x4000 = 23.43
8x4000 = 36,97 (Intel Yorkfield QX9775 @ 4Ghz 400x10)
from 2 to 4 is good, but from 4 to 8 for 98% Clock increase there is only 58% efficiency increase.
