    Those are the stock heatsinks for the QX9775 which is a Harpertown Xeon based socket 771 processor.

    Not really.
    What would need a fan if you water cool the CPUs is the RAM

    especially packed that tight. I had to build a duct which leads to a 120mm fan to cool the ram and nb on my two dual 5000x sm systems.

    i was really hoping for 775, cheap dual socket like the old days.

    FB-DIMMs use what's called an AMB (advanced memory buffer) chip located in the center of the memory module. An FB-DIMM transmits data in packets, using a bi-directional serial bus. Also, a conventional memory controller requires 240 trace lines per channel, while an FB-DIMM requires only 70. This reduces the complexity of the circuit layout.

    To be a professional noob/idiot
    * Default factory speed is for noobs.
    * Everything must go above the speed that the factory consider safe.
    * Everything for more performance
    * Everything fits, and everything can be broken.
    * Most problems can be fixed by adding a volt or two.
    * Post things in your signature that makes no sense at all.

    Still would have been nice if this board had used DDR2/DDR3 normal memory. Quite a few here would have scooped one up.

    If they were currently scoopable, alot of people would be scooping.
    In another thread here, with the same 2 processors in a Skulltrail @ 4GHz, scored about 13k lower.

    ?? Link..Fugger shows 34K+..I got 22,564 with clovers at 3258
    A Harpertown at 4000 would put out like clovers at app 4400 so maybe on the 27-30K range but not 21,000 witch is 13K lower than Fugger's score.

    The other one is running XP 32 bit, that's why the score is so much lower

    It was noted that the operating system was 32 bit and not 64-bit, and that is resulting in a large performance drop. Also, the RAM was noted to be running in single channel.

    Fugger - 34,839
    ZoLKoRn - 25,004

    800 megahertz difference.
    32-bit operating system vs 64-bit.
    RAM.

    9,835 difference. I can't count. :P I apologize.

    It will release on February 4th (Monday). Problem is, very few stores will have stock since this is a premium quantity-limited product.

    couldnt find these one anywhere, first one look very familiar

    source: http://www.jens.tauchclub-krems.at/d...enchmarks.html

    here is how it scales:

    2x4000 = 11.8
    4x4000 = 23.43
    8x4000 = 36,97 (Intel Yorkfield QX9775 @ 4Ghz 400x10)

    from 2 to 4 is good, but from 4 to 8 for 98% Clock increase there is only 58% efficiency increase.
