dude, just about every car goes threw things like that. I would expect a street legal formula 1 to go threw a little more. I dont know why that draws you away from wanting one. For obvious reasons they would never release it in that condition.

When I worked for porche I test drove lots of them that had major problems.

Well, there is a loophole in crash test stuff. Take out the engine and the gearbox, import it, put the stuff back in, register it as a kit car
Don't know who could put the engine and gearbox back in though. Maybe a Mercedes garage since Pagani uses Mercedes engines...

Something that can auto pilot, something that can fly. Something like KITT I suppose but with floating ability. I hate S. Cal traffic.

it's really not, just bolts and motormounts hold it all in. motor mounts are basically big bolts with bushings. transmission mounts straight to the motor (90% of the time) if not it aint hard to do. transmission mount is held on by ... bolts. everything is held onto the frame of the car, and the suspension, by .... bolts.

Concerning legality of rare cars in the US, if a certain model is produced with no more than 500, you can get it and drive it without having to register it as a kit car.

Thanks to yours truly, Bill Gates, a bill was passed by Mr. Clinton that allows such rare cars on the road without being crashed tested, epa, etc....specifically in this case, a Porsche 959.

That may happen in Washington state, which he probably owns, but its state specific and wouldn't wash in my part of the country. The cops may two the car through a lake and then go "oooppps... we goofed.. sorry "
