Haven't bothered with the ram yet, and this 780i board has an odd A0 on soft restart error for some FSBs.

    Hi,
    After my B3, a L734 G0 doing 3.6GHz at 1.42v, I got a new G0 L740B126

It is with open window for some minutes. At 24°C ambiant, it is as hot on 2 cores as with my previous L734A at same 3.6GHz but with 1.424 real vcore instead of 1.334v forr this one

So, despite the lower vcore, it heats quiet the same as a per clock reference. The delta between cores is up to 7°C usually. I'll try to reseat in few days with some MX-2, then I'll try a vertical mount of my WB. If nothing do it, I could lap it

See my signature for all hardware setup

The most interesting, is my P5B deluxe stable at that memory OC, timings and just 1.25v on the NB. And hey, it is 266 strap. The X38 is a best clocker, but couldn't clock this at 266 strap on a qaudcore and furthermore with 1.25v.

I got a really good P965, even if it is a C1 revision

Is your Bigwater fans running at full speed?

I tried running mine at full speed, but i'm hitting 65~ on core 0,1 and 61 on core 2,3

I'm running mine at 3.41~Ghz, 1.485v BIOS, how did you manage to keep your temp so low? Is it because of the Apogee GT WB?

It definitely has a huge impact. I added extra fans (S-Flex) to the rads for a push/pull config. Also added another 120mm rad, and 4 S-Flexs in the window . Also my voltage is not as high as yours and I had the window cracked a little for some cool air, since the heater was on.

Got a new board and HSF. Have not run prime yet. Using OCCT as initial test for stability. When i get my chipset actively cooled i will run prime95 overnight.

    For now:

    Q6600@3.6ghz (8x450) 1.45v (L724A760/vid 1.2875)
    Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
    DFI Lanparty LT P35 T2R
    2x1gb g.skill PC 6400 HZ
    8800 GTS 640mb
    OCZ 520watt PSU

OK I mounted a 40mm fan on the chipset and ran prime95 for an hour. I'm disappointed the fan did not make a huge difference. This thing is like double the thickness of your average 40mm fan. LAME! Looks like i'm going to have to replace the chipset cooler all together. Gotta do something about the PWM temps as well. Anyway.... Here's an hour of prime.

It peaked @ 63C during the test. I was getting lower temps but had to rotate the TRUE to make room for a fan to put on the chipset.

    Stock VFSB
    Stock VMCH

With just cold ambients, all inside my case (18ºC) I can do this:

    This Q6600 + DQ6 has a FSB wall around 470Mhz. This same Q6600 can prime @ 510Mhz FSB on P5E3

Max stable 3dmark (X38-DQ6's fsb wall hold me back):
    Note: C1E activated

This CPU is a beast. I can run 3dmark06 at this setting with only 1.58v, but sometimes it would crash on CPU test. The sad part is when I discovered that this mobo has bigger Vcore intervals after 1.60v. A pic to make you understand:

Well, I'm happy with this piece of hardware

    Rbs.

PS: P5K Deluxe will never do that. Max 3dmark06 stable was 4050Mhz at same conditions.

    Got this baby today :

    Q6600 G0
    Batch = L737B242 with a VID off only 1.16VCore.

Currently running 3.6Ghz on 1.36Vcore load (40°C stressed). This is a very high Vcore for this speed if i look at all the other L737B242 batches haha ...

My mission was 4Ghz 24/7, but if i must believe you all, that is going to be none problem .

    UPDATE:

    4Ghz, 32°C idle (1.448Vcore) and 52°C stressed (1.412Vcore), i think i've got one hell of a Q6600 .
