When going from D-Tek out, to the EK NB block, is there a best 'IN' barb on the EK? I would rather go IN the top barb on the EK, and use the lower barb as my out, running the line back out the back of my case.

The D-TEK has the out above the in, so if I did the opposite on the NB block, I think I may have an air bubble issue...

I am just going CPU and NB block right now. 1 GPU block will be added in the loop later.

Would like to be able to get a set for the 680i board and the Maximus board etc.
    Any thoughts?
I would love to do it for all yea

Mekrel was on the case of designing them - dont mind sending you set for the correct designs tho

Below are my idle temps - need to wait for TIM to settle and for the loop to get rid of air completely before I start recording proper temps.

The latest according to Fiery from Lavasys. Mine doesn't though and its to do with how the gear is seen by the system.
I switched a E6600 for a Q6600 and the OS didn't completely update the new configuration.
ie Task manager only shows two windows in its processor tab. Everest only shows one cpu temp even though it should show 4 cores.
I may be forced to nuke it and re-install the OS.

Seems Everest only shows icons etc for what readings it can see, not all its capeable of showing.

If everest is going to display your NB and SB temp, would the home edition also show it too, or would only the ultimate edition display that?

The Home Edition is free correct?

Tomorrow is a big day for me. My double 27 day waiting anniversary for my EK NB block.

27 days on the Paypal lesson... (Always click return to merchant using PayPal at EK!!)
3 days processing time to get the order out the door after me and Eddy got my order completed properly.
27 days after a double confirmed launch date from EK on Dec 20th.

57 Calendar days, since I initially clicked 'buy'.... (On page 5 )

I had both the big holidays hit during this 27 day block of time, so mabey everything is still OK? I am starting to have small panic attack's from time to time now, thinking I keep dusting my mobo off for a phantom that may never arrive.

How long should this Ohio boy wait before I should be in full blown panic mode...

I just want the mythological EK NB block so bad....

I just finished my 7 day vacation too. The mail has already come for today. Still, nothing to report.

I have considered it, but being that is already paid for, it's hard to just walk away. I have other things in the order too.

    Thanks buddy...

I am starting to feel like a poser, posting my ass off, but never actually fireing up my system. The charm of the Waterkeg cooling itself is starting to ware off. I wan't to actually hook a chip up to it.

I don't wan't to have to post much longer: "I cant speak to that, as I have yet to power my system on" ...

Getting over 4.0GHz now.... Good job man.

You are using your Vapor during these tests on your Maximus correct?

Question: Are the V-reg or choke chips marked 'R68' located around the CPU worth cooling with some forged copper sinks?

How hot do they get on the Maximus?

Due to me getting the D-Tek Pro mount all of my R68 coils will be exposed withought any interference from the CPU block's mounting ring. I have some small forged copper heat sinks on order too. While my mobo is laying flat, would be the best time for me to AC adhesive the sinks, directly to the R68's.

Do the R68 coils get hot on the Maximus, and would there be any advantage to heat sinking them?

    Thanks...

all im using is ek waterblock and the other parts are not cooled with water or anything i would say just let it cool by air with no add on.

Heh, Talonman, by the time you get done modding that board prior to actual installation, it'll be obsolete.

Not knocking you, if you're having fun in the process, that's all that counts. I just know I couldn't have a shiny new mobo sitting on a bench for months while I gathered parts.

    XS People: *Rads are dirty*

    Everyone: Anyway to prevent it?

XS People: Clean your rad with vineager!!>!?!?!?! OMG it WORKS and is the WICKED

Everyone: Whys the vineager turning blue? Why my rad performing worse? Why are there holes in my rad?

XS People: S*** S*** DON'T CLEAN YOUR RAD WITH VINEAGER

Core 2 Duo(Conroe) was based on the Intel Core Duo(Yonah) which was based on the Pentium M(Banias) which was based on the Pentium III(Coppermine).

Core 2 Duo is a Pentium III on meth.
