Crysis Patch 1.1 Retail Released

I was not even attempting to compare apples to apples... I was simply giving my subjective opinion that it was possible to get the game running @1920x1200 with AA on and get reasonable frame rates with current hardware.

My posts were intended to encourage the good folks on this forum to tweak and play with their rigs / game settings and not to simply get disheartened by poor performance and give up....

All I can say is WinXP SP3 (3264) + Nvidia 169.28 Drivers + Crysis 1.1 Patch + tweaks = works for me!

I can get reasonable framerates with AA turned on, but there isn't even a noticeable difference in IQ with it turned on.....I tried 2x with quality adaptive multi-sampling and I couldn't even tell a difference........maybe on some distance wires or something but that's it.

IMO if you're running 1920 and up then AA is useless, except for games like BF2/2142 where it's a jaggy fest with the foliage.

What like side by side screenshots or the actual commands? Yours has better looking textures and more detailed shadows, while his has my HDR and bloom......but his runs a lot faster.

Also, I tested this with mine, but If You do High AA, You'll only lose 10 FPS max(16xQ) :P

Well I definitely notice a difference on my 2405FPW... everything does seem sharper. If I was using a CRT however I would agree with you.

I just tested the game with 2x AA and it was a bit more sluggish.......my FPS counter read 30-45 FPS but it felt like I had some mouse lag....Crysis is the only game where this happens....I swear FPS doesn't always translate to actualy feel sometimes.
Anyhow, I couldn't tell a difference.....there just aren't any areas that require AA, so I can't really check it.....TBH the only way I know it's working is that I lose FPS :p

I know what your posts were intended for. I dont care. We had a little sidebar going...the apples to apples and comparison was our little sidebar bro.....stick with me.

Well, all I can say is 21fps being 'playable'(reasonable) is definately subjective, especially on a fps. You enjoy the choppyness.

since the new patch i have played crysis twice :

first time it hang on loading a map , and hang my whole pc .
second time it just trew me back to the desktop

Great game but it follows suit with all of EA Games crappy Buggy as hell releases! This game needs allot of improvements and bad it should never have been released in this state if you ask me were all gonna end up waiting 3 months before it is acceptable from start to finish maybe longer!

this patch is a good step forward but it semes to have introduced a black screen hang sometimes at random point - non hardware crash

i think in about 2-3 more patches we should have things working more like we would hope

I have a Q6600 Asus P5E and two 3870 playing the game everything veryhigh 4 AA vitsa 64 fps is perfect in the beggining much faster with 2 cards then 1 but when I get to the part where theres first lite I get better fps with one whats going on?Do I need to wait for the next drivers to fix this and I cant set the fanspeed on my second card so it goes up to 80c could this be the problem.

Everything seemed to be fine after the install, but now my savegames get ed up somehow. I did backup my whole crysis directory from my documents and copied it over after the update.

I even started playing the game from the beginning and everytime i save the game, it cannot used.
It starts to play the intros and after i skip them i get black screen.

Did you use the No-CD crack (patch? ) with your savegames? They tend to be b0rged then...

I found a new updated version of the nocd exe from gamecopyworld. The game works perfectly now.

I have two 3870 in crossfire with a q6600 and Im having trouble with crysis im on vista 64 if I go to the game explorer right click on the crysis.exe and launch the game in DX9 I have no problems the game is silk smooth with everything high with both cards are working.Now I was playing the game on veryhigh DX10 using the regular exe and in the begining of the game both cards work perfectley until i get too first light then the fps drops like crazy I tried the same spot with one card and it was playable.So I thought maybe its a veryhigh on DX10 problem so i tested everything high using the same dx10 exe and the same problem happens fps drops like crazy when i get to first light wondering if any of you are having the same problem.Im using the latest patch 1.1 these hotfixes

Maybe if I install SP1 RC it will help?
it feels to me like one of the card is going into 2D in this part of the game.

I have heard of the cards going into 2D mode when overlooking the first village from atop the hill/mountain. Is there where you are noticing the slowdowns?

Actually there are multiple points where the cards are in 2D mode, in almost every level.

And I can conclude that 3870CF has this problem in almost every game out there. Gears of War is one of them. COD4 is another. In Vista64 at least.

thats exactley it I havent gone further cause im trying to fix this is this gonna happen during the whole game?Very annyoying cause at the begining until that point Cf performance is perfect.I found this on the amd website on the problem

LOL, i havent played Crysis yet so if you shoot them after thier dead dose blood come out? also when there alive and you shoot them in the private area what happens? do they screa run? cry of pain? or stand thier normally...

yeah sometimes i get random hangs/freezes that will usually resolve in 2-3 secs

at those very same points where you approach the first village my card started to artifact and i had to lower my overclock.. do you think that powerplay was undervolting my card... we've got to get this sorted .... i'll test a custom bios....np

My problem is in DX10 one card goes into 2d mode doesnt happen in DX9 do you think this can be fixed with a new driver?and is there anyway to for both cards to stay in 3dmode.3870crossfire

I hope the next patch will prevent you having to risk life and limb every time you get into or leave a vehicle.

hrmm... i turned SLi off and had it on.. i got about 5-10fps difference depending on area..

playing on 1920x1200 on a modded high win xp

though only in the beginning of the game, im' getting anywhere from 30-36fps steady

Bodies don't bleed nor do they leave blood spatter. Bullets just hit the ground as if the corpse didn't even exist. Reaction to shooting in groin is as to shooting at the enemy in general: scream followed by autofire towards your general location.

Beats me why this would be of any interest...
