hmm... i dont want to read 200 pages...
Simple question...
Is this motherboard any good? for OC'ing and Quad Q6600 cpu?
Ok i can boot with 333 strap and trans booster disabled.I also run everest cache and menory benchmark. With Trans booster disabled i seem to have a slight overall increase on read/write/copy benchamarks over the auto setting.
Now about the 47 min prime95 hung up.I raised the NB Volt @ 1.51 in bios (1.55 in everest).I now got a bsod around 49 min.So i think i ll have to raise it more. The only good thing is that NB temp according to Everest didnt raise at all.48C under full load.
Going to test more...Too much trouble for just 3,4Ghz![]()

care to explain why my board bios is different from yours?
that last empty line is where i saw the hyperthreading option. There is a slight chance that what i saw was SpeedStep, not HyperThreading. The value was ENABLED when i saw it. It did have "intel" written, that i am 100% sure. There once was a time when i did have the "cpu ration control" option, maybe it was with another bios... BTW, none of my settings were left to "auto".

Oke I just found out how to get "" Intel Speedstep" under cpu configuration. This option appears as soon u put CPU ratio : Auto , so not 8x or 9x then u look @ cpu config there u see Intel speedstep:X

Good eyes ReZ & mc2k. I see what you guys are talking about: When the multiplier is set to auto in Extreme Tweaker in BIOS 0802, the "Intel Speedstep" option is all of a sudden present in the "Advanced" Menu under CPU Config menu... You weren't seeing ghosts after all. My question is to you guys with newer BIOS's is, is the same true for you guys. I'm on 0802 now. When I got this board, the newest release was 0901, and that's where I started. Lotsa work to get back to older BIOS's with us peeps with 64bit OS's...
