The Maximus Formula Special Edition motherboard is based on the Intel X38 Northbridge chipset and the Intel ICH9R Southbridge chipset. It supports Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Extreme, Pentium D , Pentium 4 Extreme Edition and Celeron D4xx Processors, with Hyper-Threading Technology and 800/1066/1333/1600MHz Front Side Bus support.

I'm not kidding guys, i DID see that hyperthreading option in my bios. I was in the section where you have C1E, TM, Vanderpool, etc..... it was located at the very bottom of that list, now it's a blank blue line.......

Hyperthreading is a processor feature. If the processor does not have it, the board, even if it supports it, cannot enable it all by its own. The Q6600 has no HTT feature, period. Were you using another processor with the maximus before switching?

I find when I use the 333 strap I need trans booster disabled level 0 and the 400 strap trans booster enabled level 0

if it's not set this way (for me anyways) I always get the "DET RAM" hang

And I swear I saw when I first worked the BIOS it enabled me to do a 10x multi. Now I realize that isn't possible unless I had an engineering sample. Otherwise I was seeing things. Don't trust you eyes 100% unless they're electric.
