I only know of a few European sites that lists em already and have E8400 (9x333) part for 171 EUR which I'd guess would show up as around $209 on site such as newegg. E8500 (9.5x333) I think was 243 EUR which would prolly sell for around 290 ~ $300 USD in US. To me, the E8400 looks clearly as a better deal. If these prices won't change until the actual launch I'd say that's a nice and reasonable pricing if Intel wants to continue the offensive pricing strategy against AMD, ie slightly cheaper than Conroe when comparing multiplier & FSB and that would be possible due to 45nm.
