Any way You must have a duff board man my first one was a bummer also get a RMA
Have to use the PC for business things last week, there wasn't much room for OC.

Will wait for the next BIOS releases and see if this is a common problem of the board/BIOS in combination with the Phenom or if only some users are affected.

Next step is to contact the DFI support... EDIT: done

Ordered a GP-9600BE today to avoid the boot problem. Don't want to wait until DFI is able to solve it. Also my HD3870 needs a powerful CPU to get a decent performance boost. The differences @ 2,2GHz are only 500 points in 3DM06 compared to a single card. If i make the computer to get past the blank screen () @ 2,6-2,8GHz the difference in 3DMark ist much bigger (2000-3000 points).

For all other Phenom+DFI users: the boot problem is reported to DFI.

just a warning for ya, i wouldn't recommend using your OC computer as a business computer.... I just hate the hassle of things when something doesn't work right the first time, but that could just be me. my laptop I use for my car tuning

The New BIOS has TLB Cache-something option under Memory settings! End if you want "full" scores it must be "Enabled"! AOD just doesn't help if this option is Disabled.
Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.

My 9600BE should arrive today, so i have the possibility to OC by changing the multi.

EDIT: 9600BE is here, will put it in as soon as i get home.

+ one user with boot problems @ 203HTT (9600 nonBE)

Don't think by now that my board is a bad one, it's a general problem of the board in combination with the Phenom.

    Hurry DFI

    So,

what should i say: This board is total crap with my 9600BE.

    - Plugged in the 9600BE
    - CMOS Reset
    - Turned computer on, BIOS -> Load Optimized Defaults
    - Turned off CnQ and Virtualization
    - booted Windows
    - AMD OverDrive (the new beta) -> increased vcore to 1,4V and multi to 12,5 = 2500MHz = no problem
    - set multi to 13 = freeze
    - made the same in the BIOS (13x200, 1,4V) -> freeze @ windows boot
    - upped all the voltages in the PWM section ~ +0,2V, DDR2-400, CL5-5-5-18, nb-multi 8x, ht-link to 800MHz -> no boot screen

This board is definitively NOT "Phenom ready".

I can't believe the BE is so bad, my 9500 could reach 2750MHz but with the mentioned boot problems.

    EDIT: 9600BE -> the 2500MHz are NOT Prime-stable

Waiting for your next BIOS Mr. and Mrs. DFI

EDIT2: And again i'm not the only one. Similar results @ another DFI user 9600BE @ 2,6 max. no matter what vcore

    Same with HHT-Overclocking:

    nb-multi 7x, HTLink 600MHz, VCore 1,4V max: 11,5x220=2530MHz

The same as with multi-OC, so i think this is the limit of the cpu.

Have to think about getting a new one.

The only good thing: The boot problems with HTT > 205MHz are gone with the 9600BE.

    WOW That sucks!

I've read at least 2 other 9600BE could reach only 2.5GHz....

Looks like this will be a lottery of OC for us...

Can we start stepping database of 9600BE to help people buy better product?

What are your and your friend steppings and production weeks?

    Thanks for info .

This is extremely bad news. I am deeply saddened by these events and am finding it hard to keep a positive attitude.

Where is MACCY? Where has he dissapeared to?

I think we users need to make some sort of announcement regarding future purchases of ANY cpu's from AMD. I'd be one of the first users to defend AMD in many cases but this is simply becoming too much to take.

I (and many of you) have waited over a year for these cpu's to see the light of day and tbh I think they need to go back under wraps until they actually work properly.

I've dealt with allsorts of problems concerning this 9500 B2 and simply cannot face more and more let-downs from the green giant. I mean they've been working on this architecture for nearly three years, wth is going on.

I'm gonna give it one more week, and if there is no light at the end of the tunnel then I'll switch over to INTEL completely. I literally love AMD cpu's but I refuse to keep ploughing £££££££ into crap that doesn't work.

This morning alone I must've encountered the TLB errata bug first hand atleast 8 times. AMD insist on requiring an intricate set of circumstances and a LABORATORY being required to re-create the TLB errata. Personally I belive that to be false as all the lockups my system encounters cannot be attributed to anything else. I've tried several times this morning to oc to it's 2800mhz '06 benchable speed but keep getting lock-ups around the 2530mhz to 2680mhz range. On the ninth attempt I managed to get 27++mhz before lockup, and this is with no settings changed. It really is a lottery with these cpu's atm.

When they work correctly without failure at a decent clockspeed they appear very good. However the rest of the time (during massive problems and having to remain close to stock speed) I'd rather have my old 6000+.

I'd really like to see some AMD flesh in here explaining wth is going on.

    Unhappy

I am so dissappointed with AMD. I have Bartons running that can OC better then this Phenom! With the release of the Black Edition Brisbanes, I thought the Phenom would kick-ass for sure. I'm so dissappointed
