I tried them and it fixed the vdimm issue but they did something with memory timings on the hardware strap as I am getting lower memory scores with this bios over the 0704 bios with the same settings.

My problem is the following: a few weeks ago i've had my pc shipped at home... everything was fine except for the X-Fi audio board don't working!
So i contacted the technical support of the vendor (one of the best in italy... sigh) and he asked me to return the entire pc... two days ago they shipped again the pc to me and... ARGH! The bios was updated to 804!
Strangely enough, this coincided with a drastic fall in my GPU performances: 3DMark only scores 3700 for my 8800Ultra while it usually scored over 14000, and i often have artifacts when benching or gaming!!!

All i was able to do was downgrade the bios to 701, but nothing changed... obiouvsly i was unable to downgrade to the bios version 601 wich i originally had.

Also strangely, i have no problems with my DDR3@1800 with theese bios, just this drastically low 3d performance!
Maybe this depends on the "bad" bios?

I hope somebody here can help me with this... thank you!
Anybody here can help me with the quoted post?
I'd like to know if this could be Bios-related...

    My configuration is the following:

    Asus P5E3 Deluxe/Wi-Fi AP@n
    Intel QX9650@3150 (450*7)
    Corsair Dominator DDR3@1800
    Asus Geforce 8800 Ultra

Trivia89... Have you tried to reload your drivers...? When I upgraded to v601 my 8800 ultra was on the fritz... Had to reload drivers... Also don’t leave your PCIE Frequency on auto... 100 works wonders for me.... Note: Uninstall your video drivers before you try to reload them - if that does not work use a different port... Just a thought.... I hope it helps...

    Hi!
What do you mean with "on the fritz"?
However, all right, i'm going to do a complete driver refreshing!
    I hope this will work!

No. This is normal BIOS for P5E3 Deluxe/WiFi, you could obtain all BIOSes for this MoBo from official asus ftp folder - ftp://dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/s...5/P5E3_DELUXE/
    (ftp://dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/s...ELUXE_WiFi-AP/ folder contain only documents)

Lucky... Express Gate still working...? I've heard that the deluxe version on a wi-fi would kill the express gate option...

Ooo and sorry about the fritz - a state of disorder or disrepair (haywire would of been a better word)

You can give it a try... Have you tried moving your 8800 to a different slot for example PCIEx16 1, 2 or 3... You could have a bad slot or possible damage to your graphic card or eben pin damage.... You have no idea what your repair man has done... could of dropped or shorted out the card...

3700 - is that your complete score-- if so your CPU score is low also....

Post your complete bios - someone here should be able to assist you with your settings... I've notice a few others w/ the new QX9650...

Question?? why are you using a 7 multiplier?????

The CPU score looks ok, something like 5000, but the GPU's are absurdely low, so they make the score fall...

I've tried setting the bios to auto, then to XMP, then to Manual with

    FSB 450
    Multiplier 7
    PCI Frequency 100
    DRAM Frequency DDR3-1800

    And the timings to auto.

I'm using 7 because i can have a 450 fsb @quasi-default processor clock, while running the memory @1800.

I updated the bios to the new 903... i just lost a little bit (nothing noticeable) in the everest memory tests, and i haven't still solved my GPU issue!

For now I can only suggest changing slots and reinstall the most current drivers again (v169.25 is what I have)... If that doesn’t work... Place the card into a different computer and test it again... If you still get low results it’s a bad Graphics Card... Also the artifacts could be from it overheating.... Check our temps while you benchmark... Seems like your card is very unstable...

Check out the following link (Click Here) It was written for a Q6600, but it has allot of good information.... Also try not to use Auto settings on the board... Default settings are terrible, and you'll never reach max performance...

Also You Can Post Additional Threads Here For Assistance w/ The 8800....

Talking about the 0903 ,just found out that my ram needs 1.9v (instead 1.8 as S.T claims..) to run at specks but always in 2n mode...
No other problems ..just took me some time , with all these settings, to boot to windows properly and run S.PI..
