Spoke with Eddie via email and IM this morning, so he replied as quickly as possible within standard business hours, which I consider to be a good sign of quality CS.

He said the plate would be done on a week or so, apologized for the inconvenience and we came up with a work around for the Maximus. I gave him my address and we left it at that. So from what I can tell he's taking care of me. Never mentioned a charge so I wouldn't expect one.

But here's the thing quite a few people are missing. Ain't that hard to make a mounting plate that works with every MB, do what D-TEK did. When was the last time you heard about a Fuzion not fitting a MB? Didn't take rocket science, didn't take months of testing, and it didn't take mocking up every board in production at the time. Just took some foresight and simplicity. One plate for Intel, one for AMD. Trying to make a Intel/AMD combo plate is what caused the problem based on what I can. EK made a mistake and admitted it.

I've got a Striker, Maximus, Crosshair, M2N32 and the Supreme block in hand. So it's pretty easy to see the mistake based on what they were trying to do. The longer than wider AMD mounting is what messed things up.

So until I hear something different I'm good with EK and will continue to purchase and support their products. I'm not getting upset over something that hasn't happened yet, and I haven't heard EK say directly they were going to charge anyone who has suffered from their mistake.

Bottom line, I'm willing to cut then some slack the way things stand right now, unless I hear otherwise.
