Either you are doing something wrong or you have a bad drive. Look in the bios and see if it is included in the lists of drives. Now that I think of it, you should see the drive if it is formated or not during boot. Is you drive hooked up to one of the 6 SATA Intel connectors? Or is it hooked up to the single connector in the middle of the board? It should be connected to one of the 6 Intel connectors.
The new drive is connected to sata 2 & windows see's it. If I connect any of the drives I have to plugs 3, 4, 5, 6. its seen in the bio's and durring boot but not in windows Looks like 3 to 6 are not working.
