    If you haven't already tried it, I'd strongly recommend testing your RAM using memtest86 (comes with most Linux install CDs, including Ubuntu). Memory errors can do absolutely ANYTHING

    re the camera power adapter ... easiest thing to do is just get a US---> Australia plug adapter. Generally available for less than $10. Double check to make sure your charger accepts 110-220V power (most do).

    You can probably also order a spare charger from one of the camera stores in OZ - may even be able to find just the cord to plug in at Smith's or somewhere like that (I know you can get cords for laptop chargers, not sure about smaller stuff like cameras).

    oops, maybe I'm misunderstanding. But, if you just want to plug the charger in the wall, something like this should work:

    BTW, glad you solved your BSOD problem.

    Best tip for computer pix is, use natural light as much as possible. On camera flash just causes too many reflection probs with surfaces of the type involved
    Use a tripod if you find problems with the natural light levels being too low inside the case.

    @Disrupt'
    Like Shazza said, richard Smiths should have a travel type conversion plug that'd do the job, or Downtown Duty Free would.
    Downtown D/F carry a range that has a conversion unit to match each combination each way. Like US to Japanese or Australian to US or US to Australian. Each one only does one job but that keeps the cost quite low.
    I've got one here somewhere. If I can dig it out I'll post the brand name, later.

    Welllll ... if you pick up the plug adapter, all you have to do is plug in the US prongs into the adapter, then plug the adapter into the wall. No need for a new charger. That's what I did for a couple of years with both camera chargers and laptop chargers.

    that looks really awsome and well done all your hard work has paid off
    I have 3 girlfriends, my job, my car, and my computer. My job is the rich girl, just spend some time with her and she will provide a supply of cash. My car is the material girl, a lot of money from the rich girl goes on her. Have to be careful to keep her happy. My computer is the faithful girlfriend, I dont need to spend much on her but she is still good to me.

    Mesh over the front would look great. All three res colours showing through it.

    All your effort has payed off. Looks great.
