The long of the short is that AMD believes that Nvidia is locking it out of the market with its TWIMTBP programme—something I’m sure Nvidia would disagree with—and that developers working with Nvidia often make it difficult for AMD to get access to code early enough to develop CrossFire drivers in time for a game’s launch. Whatever the case may be (I try not to get involved with the politics of this industry), I’d really like to see more CrossFire support out of the gate in as many of the big titles as possible - )Large BUT(-but I don’t think it’s just an issue for the developers to tackle. AMD’s driver and developer relations teams need to pull the strings on AMD’s side of the fence too.
I agree with both. There is more AMD could do but the Gamers market is small and just maybe they have other higher priorities.

For that we should thank BOTH (AMD and Intel) companies!

The *but* part really doesn't flow with what he said earlier IMO. If ATI is saying they are "locked out" doesn't that qualify as them making the attempt to establish better relations with developers?

Not the aftermarket cards that we buy LOL! OEM's still buy most of the cards and aftermarket is small when compared to it

Edit mine get here tomorrow and I might get a chance to install it on Wed Dec. 5th.

I don't think AMD/ATI is saying they're locked out. I'd think it was more like "Slowed Down" or "Held Back" and that they need a larger headstart.

Yes, establish better relations so they can get game code faster than beta like everyone else not named nVidia. But hey, maybe you're right ain't anything I know for sure.

ATi has gotten better with driver releases, but they need to do more each driver release...

It's great that they do a lot each driver release and release them as quickly as possible, but what they really need is more resources devoted to the drivers department.

Not when you have friends like mine LOL! Luckily they're not my only friends

Anyway, Video card drivers are just one small part. One guy who blamed ATI's drivers was convinced otherwise when he dumped Vista and went back to WinXP Pro. Not just Games but a bunch of stuff speeded up. His 3870, one of the first sold now rocks. Though it is not an 8800GT, his was $220 shipped. That's what spurred on the talk about drivers. The best Drivers in the world can speed that Pig of an OS, Vista (UE).

Well here is a single card. Drivers 7.11

    3DM06

I didn't change anything in ATI CCC or in 3DM (should I of?).

This is just 1 run and not an average. Will run 3 in a row in a min (is that best?).

I will try xFire in a bit when I have everything I need to set, set properly. I need your help for that though.

Do I change anything in CCC?

EDIT: My CPU is below and NOT the one submitted on Futuremark. No Idea why it has submitted like that :/

    Fudzilla claims that AMD/ATI moved 125,000 3800's already: http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...4530&Itemid=34

Not bad if true, if they get all 500,000 out by the end of the year they'll have quite a bit of extra cash to float around (they were the only group in the green for AMD last quarter also)

Don't forget to let someone dump the bios while you're not looking.
The little air system that could.

He was pretty correct with the G92 and RV670 info. He does get lots of things wrong but a lot of what he says has been true as well.

Common new he does get, the problems pop up when he tries to scoop everyone else. Like where's the Barcelona that had AMD engineers dancing in the isles?

Can't wait to get my 3870 tomorrow
