That's almost unbelievable! Why an earth anybody has ever tell us about this!?
Tried to google and found nothing about it. It looks like Ati's AFR (announced in cat 7.10) rendering is working. Am I right that AFR doesn't need game to support multi GPU to perform in crossfire? I think this could be an example.

3870 CF just keeps looking better and better
"To exist in this vast universe for a speck of time is the great gift of life. Our tiny sliver of time is our gift of life. It is our only life. The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

I know every review I saw says crossfire doesnt work in crysis compared to nvidias sli that only scales 20-30percent in this game this is pretty impressive on a hotfix driver and the sad thing is they said crysis was built on the 8800 series.

Some of you folks don't have a clue what you're talking about and still make comments about what is fake and what is not. That's a P965 motherboard. Of course they will have problems with performance in crossfire.
The little air system that could.

Bit-tech review also doesn't show any improvements in fps with cf in crysis (with X38 motherboard), and with hot fix installed any everything.

I've tested CF in Crysis both for XP x64 and Vista x32!

XP x64 and final Cat 7.11 - CF a bit slower than single card, but no image corruption
Vista x32 and HotFix driver - CF much faster, but image corrupted BIG TIME!

Since Crysis is a NVIDIA "The Way It's Meant To Be Played" game, ATi doesn't get the source code they need to develop CF drivers until after the game is released...

At least ATi releases drivers as quickly as possible, unlike NVIDIA...

As a consumer, does it really matter that whether this game is TWIMTBP so Nvidia has an edge in this game ? or which products offers the best performance/price on a wide ranges of games ? for a fan boy though TWIMTBP matters cause Nvidia is cheating because their developer relation team is doing their jobs.

...which is a farce though. Not seldomly i " " when most if not all problems in tech support threads of certain games that are "TWIMTBP", was from frustrated players with nVidia cards none from ATI's.
Typical ATI problem was the bad (or lack of) OpenGL support, supposedly fixed since Cat 7.1 (?) or so.
That reminds me: gonna check today if that's true!

    EDIT: yes it is!

Actually, ive read somewhere, that ATI themselves have stated that they have been working with crytek since early production, so i wouldnt go that far.

AMD has been buddy-buddy with Crytek for quite a long time, before FarCry days. While ATi wasn't sending anywhere close to the time and money Nvidia was giving to Crytek, they definitely did help A LOT with the engine and technologies needed to create it. I have seen two or three .pdfs in the past year - year and a half with both Crytek and ATi on them.
