GAR, I’m sorry to hear that you are so disappointed with the 3870's performance compared to the 8800GT. However, did you happen to see this review of a 3870 crossfire compared to a 8800GT SLI?

The crossfire scaled much better than the SLI. I wouldn’t have acted so hastily, as ATI Drivers only keep getting more performance as they mature.
