which motherboard should i get for quad/tri fire + good Yorkfield oc.. say 500fsb

cuz Q9450 (or is it 9550) the one with 8x multi costs $316 only has 8x multi = need 500fsb for 4GHz ... or maybe i should just get Wolfdale E8500 and hopefully get 4.5GHz ... on water, b/c more boards oc dual well than quads..

i mean no many games support quad core ... Crysis suppose to support it, but my CPU usage never exceed 50% .. i mean NEVER, and UT 3 does support quads, but again CPU usage = 55% max.... no higher.... hmm shoulda get higher clock dual core that might actually get me higher fps

Yup, because compatible AFR does not work there if I remember correctly.

p5e=maximus formula , it even says so under the "p5e" sticker on the pcb

just because they used the same pcb doesn't mean it's the same... there are many upgrades.

Hello I have a question. Today I becam my His 3870, it run with 900/1300 on water. My old 2900pro run with 920/1000mhz. I test my new card with 3dmark2006 but I have only 12800 points. With my 2900pro I have 13800 points. Is the pro faster as the 3870 on 3dmark2006? Or its a driverproblem?

Yep crossfire needs AI to standard or advanced to run properly.

just stumbled upon an article that does a comparison of the p35 and x38, seems like my p975 board at 8x/8x is fine! I can wait a little more for the x38 boards to drop in price

I think the problem is 2900Pro/XT is very good in 3dmark 06 and not that much in games (compared to other high end cards). =)
